Returning your order after delivery

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return your order. Here is what you need to know.

We offer 30 days to return your order - more than double the 14 days required by UK consumer law. If you return within 14 days of delivery, you are also covered by your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

To qualify for a refund, your return must:
  • Be requested within 30 days of delivery
  • Be unused and in its original condition
  • Be in its original packaging where possible
  • Include any free promotional items that came with the order
Please note: Return postage costs are the customer's responsibility for change-of-mind returns. We recommend using a tracked service. If any free promotional items are not returned, their value will be deducted from your refund.
⚖️

Returning an item in used or opened condition

Whether you are cancelling within 14 days under your statutory right or returning within our 30-day policy, your item must be returned in its original unused condition to receive a refund. If an item is returned in a used, opened or diminished condition,  for example, showing signs of use or damage, components missing or without its original packaging, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from your refund to reflect the reduction in value. This applies under both the Consumer Contracts Regulations and our own returns policy.

What cannot be returned

Most items are eligible for return within 30 days, but the following exceptions apply for change-of-mind returns.

  • Cut-to-length products - fabric, ribbon, elastic etc.
  • Opened or activated software, design cards and bundled programs
  • Downloadable products
  • Machines bought on finance once repayments have started
  • Any item not in its original unused condition
⚠️

Received something faulty?

If your item has arrived damaged or develops a fault, that is a different process from a standard return.

Common questions

A few things customers ask us most often about returns and cancellations.

Can I return fabric?
Cut-to-length fabric cannot be returned as it is cut to order and cannot be resold. Pre-cut products such as fat quarter bundles or fabric panels are returnable within 30 days provided they are unused and in their original packaging.
What happens if I bought my machine on finance?
If your repayments have not yet started you can still return the machine within 30 days in the usual way. If repayments have begun, the machine is no longer eligible for a change-of-mind return. If you believe the machine is faulty, different rules apply — please see our faulty goods guidance.
What if my item has been opened or used?
You can still return an item that has been opened or used, but we reserve the right to deduct an amount from your refund to reflect any reduction in value. This applies whether you are returning under our 30-day policy or exercising your 14-day statutory right to cancel. To receive a refund, items should be returned in their original unused condition and packaging wherever possible.
Do I have to pay for return postage?
Yes — for change-of-mind returns, return postage is at your cost. We recommend using a tracked service and keeping your proof of postage. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit on the way back to us.
What if my return is lost in the post?
We strongly recommend using a tracked delivery service and keeping your proof of postage. Unfortunately we cannot process a refund for items that do not reach us, so tracked postage gives you the protection you need if something goes wrong in transit.
How long does my refund take?
Once we receive your return we will process the refund within 14 days, though it is often sooner. You will receive a confirmation email when it is done. Please allow a few additional days for the funds to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
